Friends and family pay their last goodbye to veteran deputy of the PP

Friends and family today paid their last goodbye to veteran deputy 'popular' Rogelio Baón died last night at the age of 66 in Madrid as a result of a serious illness. At North Tanatorio Madrid was attended by representatives from the political transition to the present day. Baón ranked number 17 on the list of the PP to Congress by Madrid for the general election on March 9.

Pujalte, visibly affected, said the deputy 'popular' 'leaves a hole very important' in the People's Panel.

'We hope that his example will be an encouragement to those of us who stayed,' said Pujalte, who emphasized the work that Rogelio Baón leaves behind after 19 years dedicated to politics and career development 'brilliant' in journalism. He stated that he 'popular' was a political 'in the more dignified' and 'always looked for the general interest'.

The serious illness suffered for months forced him to reduce his activity, but went to the Palacio de la Carrera de San Jerónimo to be present in key votes for its formation. 'When he was asked to come, wine, and did so with a tone that left us shocked vital', stressed Pujalte, who noted the 'confidence' in his party to resume its activity in Congress.

ZAPLANA ASISTIRÁ TO ENTIERRO

The spokesman for the PP in Congress, Eduardo Zaplana, has confirmed her attendance at the funeral to take place in Valdemorillo, Madrid locality in which occupied the post of first deputy mayor and spokesman for the municipal government. The funeral which will be held, starting at 17.00 am in the Church of Our Lady of Asuncion.

Baón, who was born on February 23, 1942 in Quintanar de la Orden (Toledo), was married and had two sons. Degree in Law and Information Sciences, served as a lawyer, journalist and professor at University and the author of books of history and political science.

The deceased, who was very much loved and respected by his colleagues in the DB as other parliamentary groups, has been deputy since 1989 and a member of the Spanish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO.

In the last of his five legislatures in Congress's presidency of the Joint Commission (Congress-Senate) RTVE. He had previously served as chairman of the Committee on Defense and the Relations with the Ombudsman.
